Kgalagadi Breweries Limited (KBL) sealed their partnership with Motor Vehicle Accident Fund (MVA Fund) by signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the 5th of September 2022 at KBL head-office in Gaborone. The three-year partnership will provide a framework for constructive cooperation and communication between two organizations and is a joint commitment to create effective change to making Botswana roads safer for all road users. In his opening, the Chief Executive Officer of MVA Fund Mr Michael Tlhagwane stated that, the signing of the MOU marked a key milestone in the operations of both parties, it confirms the parties’ commitment to addressing safety on our roads as well to bring behavioural change towards driving under the influence of alcoholic beverages. He further asserted that, it enhances the parties’ efforts to collaborate on matters of public education on promotion of road safety and the reduction of drunken driving, and finally, to commit resources for the success of the partnership.

According to KBL Managing Director, Mr Carlos Bernitt, the MOU marks the officialising of their relationship with MVA Fund over the years. Mr Bernitt further noted that the relationship is relevant as MVA Fund specializes in the promotion of road safety while KBL on the other hand produces quality beers and both share a common objective to advocate for smart road use.
