Strengthening Care. Restoring Hope
In a significant step toward improving trauma care and rehabilitation, the Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) Fund has donated six specialized rehabilitation wheelchairs worth P241,200 to the Spinalis Unit at Princess Marina Hospital. This initiative underscores the Fund’s enduring partnership with the Ministry of Health to enhance the quality of life for individuals living with spinal cord injuries.
These advanced training wheelchairs are more than equipment—they represent empowerment. They will enable newly injured patients to regain independence, dignity, and confidence as they navigate the journey to recovery. By providing these resources, the Fund reaffirms its commitment to restoring hope and ensuring that every claimant receives the care they deserve.
Speaking at the handover, the Fund acknowledged the unwavering dedication of the Spinalis Unit and Princess Marina Hospital teams. Their tireless efforts continue to transform challenges into opportunities for healing, offering patients a renewed sense of possibility.
This milestone reflects the Fund’s broader mission to create safer roads and stronger communities. Together with our partners, we remain steadfast in our pledge to:
- Improve trauma and rehabilitation services for accident survivors
- Advocate for safer roads to prevent injuries and fatalities
- Support survivors and reduce the impact of preventable road traffic crashes
Through initiatives like this, the MVA Fund demonstrates that care goes beyond compensation, it is about restoring lives and building resilience. By investing in specialized equipment and collaborative healthcare solutions, we aim to ensure that every road traffic accident survivor receives the support needed to live with dignity and hope.
