Restoring Hope, Rebuilding Lives: Celebrating Case Management Week 2026
Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) Fund officially launched Case Management Week 2026 under the theme “Reconnect, Recognise, Reignite and Rise,” highlighting the critical role that Case Management plays in restoring lives, supporting rehabilitation, and delivering meaningful outcomes for people affected by road traffic accidents. The week-long commemoration, taking place from 11 to 17 October 2026, provides an opportunity to celebrate the profession of Case Management and reflect on its contribution to improving the lives of claimants, their families and other stakeholders.
Supporting the recovery and rehabilitation of people affected by road traffic accidents remains central to the Fund’s mandate, with Case Management playing a critical role in helping claimants regain independence, dignity, and an improved quality of life. Through coordinated medical care, rehabilitation interventions, psychosocial support, and ongoing monitoring, case managers work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that clients receive the services and support they need throughout their recovery journey.
Speaking at the launch, the Acting General Manager – Customer Services, Ms Lydia Masilo-Nkhoma noted that the theme serves as a call to action for all employees. “Every claim we process, every rehabilitation plan we coordinate, and every life we help restore reflects our dedication to ensuring that road accident victims receive the support necessary to maximise their recovery and achieve the best possible outcomes,” she said.
The Fund’s commitment to excellence in Case management is further demonstrated through its membership with the Case Management Association of South Africa (CMASA). As a subscribed member, the Fund continues to align itself with professional standards and industry best practices, ensuring that its Case Management services remain responsive, effective, and centred on the needs of clients. This affiliation also provides opportunities for continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and professional development, reinforcing the Fund’s commitment to delivering quality rehabilitation and support services.
As Case Management Week 2026 continues, it provides an opportunity to reflect on the transformative role of Case Management and to celebrate the dedication of the professionals who make a meaningful difference in the lives of people affected by road traffic accidents. Through collaboration, compassion, and a shared commitment to excellence, the Fund continues to deliver interventions that support recovery, facilitate rehabilitation, and empower clients to achieve the Best Chance to a Normal Life.
