MVA FUND CHAMPIONS COLLABORATION FOR SAFER ROADS

In its ongoing commitment to reducing road traffic crashes and saving lives, Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) Fund is engaging key stakeholders under the theme: “Synergizing for Safer Roads: Collaborative Approaches to Effective Road Safety Management.”

The Forum underscores that road safety is a shared responsibility requiring collaboration across sectors. It promotes a multidisciplinary approach involving government, law enforcement, civil society, health professionals, transport operators, and community leaders.

A key highlight was the presentation of findings from the 2024 Road User Risk Awareness Survey, offering insights into risky behaviours and guiding the development of evidence-based interventions. The Fund also presented the socio-economic impacts of road crashes, reinforcing the need for strategic, data-driven actions.

This engagement reaffirms the MVA Fund’s role as a catalyst for change, championing partnerships that drive impactful outcomes. It has sparked meaningful dialogue and strengthened collective commitment to making Botswana’s roads safer for all.
