Stakeholder Appreciation Following the 2025 Festive Season Road Safety Campaign
From 19th of December 2025 to 4th of January 2026, Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) Fund conducted its annual Festive Season Road Safety Campaign in partnership with various critical stakeholders. The success of this campaign rested heavily on strong collaboration with key partners. We take this opportunity to extend our sincere appreciation to the organisations whose partnership made the initiative both impactful and operationally seamless. The success of this national effort is a direct reflection of the commitment demonstrated by our stakeholders, who worked alongside us to safeguard road users during one of the country’s busiest travel periods.
Throughout the campaign, the Botswana Police Service provided critical enforcement support, ensuring orderly traffic flow and reinforcing compliance with road regulations. Emergency Medical Services and the Fire Department enhanced the campaign’s technical capability through their preparedness, specialised knowledge, and continuous public engagement on emergency response procedures. The Department of Road Transport Services played an essential role in enriching public education and promoting long-term behavioural change.
Our appreciation further extends to our private sector partners, Jindal Coal Mine, Minet Botswana, Unitrans, Unik Construction, Botswana Oil, and Duma FM whose resources, operational support, and communication platforms significantly strengthened the visibility and outreach of the campaign. Their contributions enabled the campaign to reach thousands of motorists, pedestrians, passengers, and cyclists with vital safety information designed to reduce road crashes and promote responsible behaviour.
This collaborative effort served as a clear demonstration of what can be achieved when organisations align around a common objective. Through this partnership, coordinated operations, and strategic communication, the Fund’s collective impact was amplified across all campaign sites.
Moreover, MVA Fund remains deeply grateful for the dedication shown by our employees. Our shared commitment to protecting lives on Botswana’s roads is appreciated. The Fund continues to show that road safety is a sustained national mission grounded in partnership, compassion, and the belief that every life matters.
